In 2002 members of Region 5 of the Conference of Major Superiors of Men began discussing ways to compassionately respond together to the victims/survivors of sexual abuse by their religious. From their discussions, Pathways to Hope was founded. The office, a not-for-profit agency, officially opened April 2004 to begin outreach to victims/survivors of sexual misconduct by their religious community members.
